How to use this tool

Getting the order right
Most file pickers hand over files in the order they appear in the
folder, not the order you clicked. The reliable fix is to name them
so they sort correctly — 1-cover.pdf,
2-report.pdf, 3-annexure.pdf. Use two
digits if you have more than nine, or 10 will sort
before 2.
What survives the merge, and what does not
Page content, images, fonts and links inside the page are all preserved exactly — nothing is re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable and quality is unchanged. Bookmarks, form fields and digital signatures do not carry across: a merged file is a new document, and a signature that covered the original no longer applies to it. If you need a signed PDF to stay valid, merge first and sign afterwards.
File size after merging
The result is roughly the sum of the inputs. PDFs that share fonts do not share them after merging, so the total can come out slightly larger than the parts. If the combined file has to go under an upload limit, that is worth checking before you send it.
Your files stay on your device
No PDF is uploaded here. The file is opened and rewritten inside your own browser, so there is no server holding a copy and nothing to delete afterwards. For contracts, statements and identity documents — the things people most often need to merge or split — that is the whole point.
Frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit because there is no server. The practical ceiling is your device's memory — a few hundred pages is comfortable on a phone, and far more on a desktop.
Can I change the order of the files?
Not in the tool itself. Files are merged in the order the browser supplies them, which follows the folder sort order. Renaming them with a number prefix is the quickest way to control it.
Will merging reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied across without being re-rendered or recompressed, so text stays selectable and images are untouched.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Only if it has permission flags rather than an open password. A PDF that requires a password to view has to have that removed first, in the application that created it.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge happens in your browser using a library loaded into the page. Nothing is transmitted, which is why the tool keeps working with your connection off.
